Undefeated Iowa suffered a crucial loss to Northwestern. As the first quarter rolled by Iowa was winning 10-0. The second quarter Iowa had a defensive break down. They allowed 14 unaswered pionts. As Iowa's offense struggled to gain yard they went no where, for the rest of the game. In the final seconds of the game Nothwestern sealed they game with a 70 yard drive that lead to a field goal and a final score of 17-10. I think Iowa deserved to lose due to their poor performance in the second quarter. Allowing 14 unanswered points is certainly something that should be frowned upon. It's a shame that Iowa let their 10-0 lead go, but I'm sure Northwestern is happy about it. Iowa needs to work on their defense and play better next Saturday.
